High hardness and wear resistant qualities of cemented tungsten carbide balls along with the ability to withstand shock and wear resistance make tungsten carbide and excellent material to consider for use in applications as flowmeters, paint sprayers, bearings, pumps, ballpoint pens and many other instruments.
Blanks are pressed from powder and sintered in a high temperature furnace and then machined to finished tolerances. The Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan facility machines and stocks balls ranging from 3/32" to 2 1/2" in typical C-1 and C-2 tungsten carbide.
Other cobalt and nickel tungsten carbide binders and fine grain carbides can be quoted upon request, as well as special titanium carbides.
